Why does pop music these days ****?
Why does almost all the credit of Great Songs these Days go to the singers?
If you think about composers in the 1900's, they were all pretty popular, but nowadays you never hear a lot of things about composers or their music. You hear about the pop singers, sure, but hardly ever the composers. Or the lyricists. Aren't composers and lyricists important too? Or is the Singing all that matters nowadays.
Actually,, what seems to matter these days is who has the hottest piece of A.....
It's plain ignorance my friend,,, we live in an age of fast easy indulgeance ,,,, The fact that even crappy singers get so much attention,, praise and awards,,, while the whole team of people that are the skilled geniuses in making the music successful get ignored,,,,
just proves that people don't even really care about the "music" as much,,,,,, what's more important is how it's marketed and served to cater to the tastes to the public at large.....
and we all know,,, bad trashy taste has what's been in fashion for some time......
The truth is,, there's a whole team of, advertisers, marketing experts, songwriters, image and fashion consultants, producers, PR people, management, booking agents, investors and studio musicians that work for the record companies,,, who are experts in making an album a hit,,, the only thing that's missing is the right face and right voice to be served on the package of the final product.....
There's plenty of pop stars that just do what they're told by all these people at the record company,,,, and the average person doesn't realize how many people are behind making a pop star. There is a lot of nievity with the general public thinking that these famous singers just do all this stuff themselves,,, which really isn't possible,, even if you are so talented and hard working........
The music industry is constantly changing with the times and it's never the way it was,, and never will be.
