Michael Jackson: "this Is It"

Michael Jackson's "This is it"

Mike seems so healthy, energetic and enthusiastic, ten seconds into the film I forgot that he was deceased. After watching and listening for five minutes I began to feel anger that such a great, great artist is no longer with us. Senseless!

The news reports that I was being "fed" from the media claimed that Michael Jackson was ill and sickly. Weak. There were reports saying that it was doubtful if Mike would even have the stamina to perform a 50 date tour.

From my viewing perspective, Michael Jackson was as dynamic as ever! This guy hadn't lost a beat. Literally! Michael Jackson was still incredible. I'm not exaggerating. I guess that's why I got pissed that he died so tragically. What a waste!

Seeing this rehearsal footage is like meeting the "artist" Michael Jackson, rather than the iconic "King of Pop." The huge difference being that when you see M. J. performing live in concert he's giving the audience 100% of himself, which is the Michael Jackson we all are familiar with.

During the "This Is It" rehearsals he is usually intentionally trying to take it easy on his vocal chords. After watching and listening to M.J. all of these years this was the first time I could "really" hear his true vocal talents.

Even when Michael Jackson was trying to spare his vocal chords any strain, this guy still sounds incredible! There was nothing fake or "synthesized" about Michael Jackson's voice.

This guy could flat out sing as well as anyone has ever sang. His dancing? Again during rehearsals he wasn't giving 100% energy like he would do in a live concert or "dress" rehearsal, but you could see the talent and ability to dance was still there.

The dancers and musicians do give 100% effort. They all want to impress Mike every moment they're on stage with him.

I won't give away the show but let me tell I am thoroughly convinced, without a doubt that the "This Is It" live concert tour would have been the most theatrical and entertaining live concert tour in the history of the world.

You heard me, right? I said the world! This tour would have outdone anything Michael Jackson had ever performed. I've never seen anything like this tour would have been. Nothing even close!

Mike was using 21st century technology that had never been applied to a live concert tour. Way beyond lasers and pyrotechnics. He also had what they said was probably the worlds largest l.e.d. TV screen.

You have see it to believe it. If you saw Michael Jackson's "Live in Bucharest" tour, let me tell you the "This is it!" tour would have "body slammed it! No comparison.

You'll probably get a little angry too when you think about what absolutely would have been the greatest comeback live concert performance in the history of mankind. I would have driven a skateboard to the Moon to see the "This Is It!" concert!

What a waste of life, love, talent, genius, and art. Michael Jackson sure appeared to be healthy and ready to stage a helluva' come back live concert tour. I highly recommend this DVD. It's as up close and personal with the pure "artist" Michael Jackson as I've ever seen. You actually get to come along for the ride with Michael Jackson as he develops the "This is it!" tour.

You'll get to be there during production meetings, and see the process of choosing the dancers for the tour. One thing that will really stand out is M.J's kindness and patience with the dancers, musicians and lighting crew. He seemed like a very nice person to work for. I won't give away anymore of this video.

I will tell you this though. This DVD is the "King Of Pop's final curtain call. He definitely went out at the "top" of his game. Michael Jackson was still the singer, dancer, and stage performer that you remember from years ago. I highly recommend this DVD for anyone who appreciates art. Michael Jackson: "This Is It!"
