Am I missing anything needed for Home Pop-Music Recordings?
Here's what I have for a home recording studio that I'll be recording pop music and hip hop type stuff. I don't use instruments, just purchased beats and recording vocals.
I have:
- Macbook Pro
- Digidesign mBox Mini (is mini ok or should i get better?)
- A mic
- Protools and Autotune
Is there anything else needed? Like some kind of amp or something? Or does the mbox mini do amplifying?
I don't know anything about the system you are using to record but you probably should get a decent tube preamp for the mic. I also think a condenser is a necessity for recording vocals especially with non professional singers but that might already be included in your system.
